Is the Del Mar suitable for coastal environments?
Yes. The GFRC concrete body is highly resistant to salt air, moisture, and UV exposure — making it an excellent choice for beachside, poolside, and coastal terrace installations. The 304 stainless steel components add additional corrosion resistance in salt-air environments.
Can I install this under a covered patio or pergola?
Covered installations are possible but require adequate clearance and ventilation per local codes. We recommend consulting a licensed gas technician and your local building authority before installing under any overhead structure. Contact our team for project-specific guidance.
Do I need a professional to install this?
Gas connections must always be performed by a licensed gas technician. Electronic ignition models also require an electrical connection. The fire pit itself is a standalone unit — your installer simply connects it to your existing gas supply line.
What fuel media is included?
Every Del Mar ships with black lava rock. Fire glass is compatible with all models and available separately. We recommend 25–40 lbs for the 48" model, scaling proportionally for larger sizes.
How do I clean and maintain the GFRC surface?
Use a soft cloth or brush with mild soap and water for routine cleaning. Avoid abrasive cleaners or pressure washing, which can damage the hand-applied finish. A concrete sealer is recommended every 1–2 years depending on your climate and sun exposure.
Does the on-screen color match the actual finish?
We represent finishes as accurately as possible, but monitor calibration can affect how colors appear on screen. Because each piece is individually handcrafted, slight variation in tone and texture is a natural characteristic of GFRC concrete. Contact us to request a physical finish sample for high-stakes design decisions.
What is the lead time for delivery?
The Del Mar is built to order and typically ships within 3–5 business days from The Outdoor Plus facility in California. White-glove freight delivery is included. Our team will provide a specific delivery estimate at time of order.
What does white-glove delivery include?
White-glove freight delivery means your fire pit ships on a pallet via a dedicated freight carrier with curbside delivery. It does not include room placement, assembly, or gas connection. Contact our team for full installation coordination.
Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Delivery
The Outdoor Plus fire pits and fire tables ship throughout the continental United States via professional freight carriers. All Del Mar fire pits qualify for free white-glove freight delivery.

- An adult must be present to receive and inspect all freight deliveries

Please inspect all deliveries upon arrival. Visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing. Concealed damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. When signing for freight, note "subject to final inspection" whenever possible.
Returns
- Return authorization is required before sending any item back
- Products must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging
- Items must be in new, resaleable condition to qualify for return
- Return freight costs are the customer's responsibility
- A 20% restocking fee may apply on approved returns
- Custom-order and special-order items may not be eligible for return once ordered
Orders canceled after shipment are treated as returns and subject to applicable freight, return, and restocking charges. Any outbound shipping costs incurred by AlphaCaveHQ, including complimentary white-glove freight provided at time of purchase, will be deducted from the applicable refund.
Warranty
All Outdoor Plus fire pits are backed by the manufacturer's limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Our team will assist with any warranty-related concerns and help coordinate with The Outdoor Plus on your behalf.
