Hybrid Grills User Manual PDFFrequently Asked Questions
Is the Encore 54" available in liquid propane?
Yes. The Encore 54" ships in both Natural Gas and Liquid Propane configurations — select your fuel type at checkout.
How does the Hybrid multi-fuel system actually work?
Load charcoal, lump coal, or wood into the patented fuel trays beneath the cooking grates, then light the gas burners for 3-5 minutes to ignite the solid fuel. Turn the gas off and the added airflow keeps the burn going, so you finish the cook on pure charcoal or wood heat — or leave the gas running and blend both.
What's the difference between the Encore 36" and 54"?
The 54" scales up to 1,687 sq. in. and 176,000 total BTUs across eight burners, giving you the room to run multiple fuels and temperature zones side by side — the 36" uses the same platform in a tighter footprint.
Can the Encore 54" be installed as a built-in, or does it need a cart?
The Encore 54" is designed as a built-in grill head for an outdoor kitchen island. A cart-mounted freestanding version is also available — contact our team if you need the cart configuration.
What's covered under the Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty?
Replacement parts are covered on a 100% non-prorated basis for as long as you own the grill, so you never pay a declining percentage as the unit ages.

How To Load & Switch Fuel
Encore runs on charcoal, wood, or gas in the same firebox. Here's how to load and switch between them.
Load Your Fuel Trays
Lift the reversible V-grates with the included grate-lifting tool and load your choice of charcoal, lump coal, wood chunks, wood chips, or a combination into the patented fuel trays below.
Ignite with the Gas Burners
Light the 22,000 BTU gas burners and let them run for 3-5 minutes. The direct flame ignites your solid fuel evenly across every tray, no lighter fluid or chimney needed.
Switch to Solid Fuel
Once your charcoal or wood has caught, turn the gas off. The added airflow carries the burn the rest of the way, letting you finish the cook on pure solid-fuel heat.
Dial In Your Flavor
Use the adjustable hood vents to control airflow and temperature, blending gas and solid fuel zone by zone for anything from a quick weeknight sear to a slow, wood-fired finish.
